As we finish our Tri-Cities Area United Way campaign for 2013, I am reminded of one of Winston Churchill’s most noted quotes, “We make a living by what we get, but make a life by what we give”. I am proud of the employees of ChemDesign, who bring local meaning to Churchill’s famous words.

UnitedWayChemDesignA few months ago, four employees (Erin Knutson, Vicki Kasper, Tina Odea and Wendy Swanson) kicked off our own campaign at ChemDesign to raise funds to support local charitable organizations. As we look to celebrate Thanksgiving in a couple of days, our fundraising team at ChemDesign is pleased to announce we are more than half way to reaching our goal!

Since our founding in 1983, ChemDesign has supported community involvement for every employee. As we look to 2014, we will continue to grow our involvement with United Way, as we know they provide funding to organizations important to our employees and the community at-large.

One of our main initiatives in the new year will be to support our local American Cancer Society Relay for Life® on June 27, 2014 at Marinette High School. Our donations, along with so many others have helped to create a steady decline in cancer deaths in our community since 1991.

To all employees at ChemDesign, my fundraising team and I thank you for supporting our community with not only your donations, but with your time as well.  We ARE making a difference, one hour and one dollar at a time!
