Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering assistance to maintenance and operations including troubleshooting, evaluation of equipment failures, and technical recommendations for repairs and upgrades.
  • Develop knowledge in plant mechanical equipment and become a subject matter expert.
  • Review and prepare maintenance work procedures and skills development/training.
  • Provide analysis of equipment and process performance data in support of developing continual improvement plans as it relates to improving the efficiency of the maintenance organization, improved asset reliability, and optimization of plant costs.
  • Determine the root cause of equipment failures/breakdowns, develop a plan to correct problems, and implement the necessary corrective actions to eliminate failures.
  • Maintain the mechanical integrity program following good engineering practices.
  • Participate in site health, environmental, PSM, and safety activities

Educational requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience
  • Plant maintenance and/or reliability engineering experience preferred
  • Prior experience with predictive maintenance techniques such as vibration analysis, oil analysis, infrared thermography, and other performance testing would be ideal
  • Knowledge/experience working with Preventative Maintenance (PM) software
