ChemDesign, located in Marinette, WI, is seeking a Quality Analyst with experience in GC, HPLC, and wet chemical techniques. The role of a chemistry lab Quality Analyst involves analyzing samples for in-process testing and final product shipments. This includes calculating the percentage of impurity, and yield loss, and measuring flashpoints of chemical samples obtained from the production process.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate to production employees the in-process test results as dictated by the batch operating procedure.
  • Prepare standard chemical preparations and solutions to support in-process and finished product testing.
  • GC and HPLC calibration as needed for in-process and finished product testing.
  • Support PDL lab with sample analysis and reaction monitoring on off shifts.
  • Approve final product reports and qualify material for shipment to customers.
  • Review Certificate of Analysis and test raw materials as needed for use in the process.
  • Assists in maintaining accurate standard operating procedures for lab personnel.
  • Other projects as assigned by management.

Educational Requirements:

  • Interest and competence in science. Some college is preferred.

General Requirements:

Proficient in Microsoft Office, champion in safety and housekeeping. Must be able to work effectively with plant personnel and with laboratory teams.
